Let’s keep it 100%... most of you are in B2B tech sales, making more money than 90% of the world.
We're not doing manual labor, we're not Billy Bob Joe on a farm, and we're not roofing in 100-degree heat.
We get paid to click buttons and have conversations, which people pay good money for.
So be grateful for the opportunity we have.
Now here is the next step that my coach and I have been working on:
Acknowledge the moves YOU made to get here.
You chose sales. That's hard.
You chose to sell enterprise deals. That's harder.
You invested in yourself by reading this newsletter and maybe buying information to elevate your skills. That's courageous.
And if you're reading this thinking, "I haven't made any big moves," well, let me help you.
That LinkedIn message you sent yesterday? Courageous.
That cold call you made? Courageous.
Showing up when you didn't feel like it? Courageous.
Sometimes we forget to give ourselves credit for the brave decisions that got us here.
So take a moment to acknowledge the courageous acts you've taken these past months.
It could be a hard pivot, OR even congratulating yourself for going to the gym today.
You're exactly where you need to be because you made it happen.
