Hey y'all!

You're here for the LinkedIn message tip.

Let's get straight to it…

COMMI$H’$ 5 $TAR TIP:

This one follow-up technique will increase your response rate by 30%.

I bet right now most of you reading this have messages that you have sent on LinkedIn that have zero responses. Also, I would take a bet that you sent zero follow-ups to those messages.

It is ok though… we are going to turn that frown upside down.

I want to share something quick for you. How to get more responses with my simple follow-up message:

"Hi [Name] - any feedback on my message?"

You can swap that out for video, voice note etc. Send this 3 days after your initial outreach and we've found people respond to this because people love giving feedback.

Here's what their responses typically mean:

  • Positive feedback means they want to meet

  • Neutral feedback means they haven't seen it yet and plan to at some point

  • Negative feedback means they weren't interested

Regardless, you get feedback and can move forward with confidence. Because we all know the worst answer in sales is no answer.

Now, go look back at your last 20 messages and send them this to watch your response rates climb.

CHEAT CODE$:

I got a big travel hack for y’all today.

For international flights, follow this tip that has been amazing for me. The goal when travelling internationally is to stick to your sleep patterns as much as possible.

In order to do that, I book my flight internationally during the night time so when I am flying I can go to sleep. I take melatonin and magnesium about 1 hour before my bed time. My flight to Sweden was at 7pm so I did my thing until 8:45, took the pills and went to sleep around 9:45 PM Then woke up with 1 hour left to landing. Everything went great.

This allowed me to get the day to rest and recharge, and the next day I was locked in ready to speak.

Also, another thing I recommend is working out when you land. I go to the gym, do a light workout and that way I can stay flexible and fit throughout the process. The movement helps reset your body clock.

Now when I get home I'll be good to go and ready to sleep on a normal schedule.

Curious if anyone else follows this routine or am I just crazy? Anyways if you haven’t try it out. Works wonders.

THE JOURNEY:

I recently caught up with John Barrows. Man I love the guy.

Anyways, I worked with him for 4 years and during our catch-up call we got into a deep discussion about what's truly important as we move into this AI age.

My full belief right now is that you need to be gaining social skills and building momentum in places people actually want to be. For me, that's pickleball and similar in-person communities.

By the end of the year, I will be very good at it and will most likely will be able to hang with anyone. That is the point though. John mentioned that you want to be good at things people want to be at so you always have the opportunity to say yes.

Low key he had me rethinking about picking up golf…

My point is we need to understand that social media as we know it today isn’t going to be around forever. We have to leverage what it is now and use AI to handle the manual work so we can focus on meeting people in person. That's why in these reflections, you'll always hear me doing something active or traveling. As I am writing this I am flying to Sweden from Arizona.

Now is the time to deepen relationships, and that's a big centerpiece for me

I'm always thinking about URL to IRL (online to real life), and that's the same mindset all of you should adopt.

The more in-person connections we make, the more ROI we will see in the long run… as long as we are intentional about it.

That's REALLY the key here.

We've spent years perfecting online outreach, but the next frontier is bringing those relationships offline. The people who excel at this will have an insane advantage.

From an AMP perspective I have been thinking how do we help people build LinkedIn as the revenue engine then filter that into mini-events and communities for real connection.

What are you doing to move your professional relationships from URL to IRL?
